15 Worst Passwords

Were these users too busy, lazy, forgetful or just looking for a good laugh?

We’ve all been there: you’ve got a million things to do at work, school or home and just need to quickly access that one email, bank transaction, school assignment or work project.

And…you can’t remember your password.

After some creative self-help talk (?!%@#***) and suppressing the urge to throw your laptop, tablet or smartphone across the room, you accept the inevitable.

You’re locked out of your very important thing and don’t have the time, patience or mental stability to resolve the situation right then.

Maybe you’re more cool and collected than I am. But that was me more times that I should admit in a public blog post.

Luckily, once I joined NeuConcept, our team gave me the right tool to help, but until then I almost resorted to using THE MOST HACKED PASSWORDS OF 2014 to save myself the trouble.

Compiled by SplashData, these gems made the NeuConcept Team both laugh and cringe at the same time.

These are the most hacked passwords from the past year:

  1. 123456
  2. password
  3. 12345
  4. 12345678
  5. qwerty
  6. 123456789
  7. 1234
  8. baseball
  9. dragon
  10. football
  11. 1234567
  12. monkey
  13. letmein
  14. abc123
  15. 111111

My personal fave is #13. Because for the love of all that’s secure, just LET ME IN!

What’s yours?

Next time, I’ll blog about the nifty solution to your password woes. So stay tuned!
